Epic Community Work + Fun Day and FREE Coffee Tasting

As we get closer to finishing construction, this work + fun day is going to be epic! We will be moving all our gathered kitchen equipment out of our various storage spaces into our two kitchens. We will also need folks to help clean up the site and there are lots of weeding opportunities too!

We will also be doing a free coffee tasting from 1p - 2p on the front patio of the building to choose our “El Sobrante” favorite flavors from Big House Beans. So even if you can’t help, stop by and have a good cup with us!

Moving our stove into the Café space.

Online Interfaith Meditation

There is an old zen saying that everyone should meditate for 20 minutes every day unless you are very busy and then you should meditate for an hour!

Our format is simple and it is impossible to do it wrong. We login to our zoom room, ring the bell and sit in shared silence for about 40 minutes. We all have different approaches to meditation. Some of us may be pondering a koan or silently reciting a mantra, a breath prayer or praying the psalms. If you don’t have a practice, we are happy to share some of our wisdom in addition to shared silence.
